Cal if or nia go ld rus h, late 1 800' ;s: A gun slin ging bounty hunter (Mortimer) travels deep into the mountains to find a deadly Apa che w ar rior (Brother W olf) who is wan ted by the law. Along t he way he passes th rough a gold m ining T ow n. The miners help direct Mortimer t o the Apache and send him on his way.
Mortimer e nte rs the fo res t and be gins to track the Apache. Back in town, the miners un-ear th an ancie nt meteor. They use their pick axes to cra ck it open. A se ction of the meteor splits apart and spores expl o de out of it. The spore surround and inf ect th e en ti re population o f the min ing camp. The y are transformed i nto rav enous mutants.
Af ter a vicious battle agai nst th e Apach e war rio r, Mortim er exits the forest with his priso n er in sha ckles. They hi ke back to the minin g town to fin d them s el ves surrounded by a horde o f blood thirsty mutants . Now Mor timer the gun slinger and Brother Wolf the Warrior must join togethe r to su rvive the m utan t h o rdes. What ens ues is a blo odbath of horror for the Dea d a nd the Damned.
